Description

12.10 is available in several different editions, and each offers different features and function.

System requirements

Minimum disk space and memory requirements: 750 MB of disk space and 256 MB of memory. Refer to the machine notes for more detailed information on system requirements.

Installing IBM Informix 12.10.xC13

The IBM Informix Installation Guide (ids_installg_12.10.pdf) is available in the product build in PDF format.

Data Server driver, DataBlade Developers Kit (DBDK) and OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for Informix will no longer be packaged with the Informix server. The latest version of Data Server driver can be downloaded from https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral. The latest version of OAT can be downloaded from https://www.ibm.com/analytics/us/en/technology/informix.

The latest open source drivers for Informix are available at https://github.com/OpenInformix.

Known problems

At time of publication, the following problems were known:

Removing users when you uninstall the database server
If there are multiple installations of the product on the computer, and you are uninstalling one of the products, be careful when you use the Remove users and groups option. Do not remove users or groups that are required by the other installations of the product. If you remove users or groups that are required by the other products, the other products will not start or they will be inoperable.
