Overview:

IBM Informix Enterprise Hypervisor Edition V12.10 continues to support the deployment of Informix Enterprise Edition database server by IBM PureApplicationTM System and VMware ESX environments managed by IBM Workload Deployer.

Informix Enterprise Hypervisor Edition V12.10 combines IBM Informix Enterprise Edition and supported operating systems, and is optimized for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server and AIX . It can take the form of a single database server or a member of a cluster of database servers.

By deploying and running Informix Enterprise Hypervisor Edition in virtualized environments, you can better utilize hardware, which may ultimately reduce hardware, power, cooling, and real estate costs. Increased hardware utilization allows a single machine to be partitioned into multiple smaller virtual machines, each of which can run an instance of Informix Enterprise Hypervisor Edition.
