DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT17118 Status: Closed

C SHELL (CSH) IS NOT SUPPORTED IN IBM SPECTRUM PROTECT SNAPSHOT FOR DB2
PURESCALE ENVIRONMENTS

product:
FLSHCPY DB2 AGE / 5608AC6DB / 41A - DB2
Problem description:
IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot for DB2 Purescale documentation
does not clearly indicate that the Korn shell (ksh) is the only
shell supported and consequently all the other shell like C
shell (csh) are not supported. Specifically, the C shell must
not be specified as the default shell of the instance owner.
This requirement extends to all servers hosting a member of a
DB2 pureScale database.
The only supported Unix shell is Korn shell (ksh). Specify ksh
as the default shell of the database owner on all servers
hosting a member of the database.

Customer/L2 Diagnostics: None
