DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT17139 | Status: Closed |
HADR STANDBY ONLY WRITES ONE LOG PAGE AT A TIME TO DISK DURING REMOTE CATCHUP STATE WHICH COULD MAKE THE GAP BIGGER
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When this problem happens, OS command like topas shows db2 only write 4KB per I/O at most of the times, i.e. one log page per write, this I/O is inefficient. The cause is that we are splitting the received data pages into separate and individual data blocks based on whether this page is marked as end of flush. Each I/O only writes one separated block on disk.
