DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT20502 Status: Closed

DB21018E RETURNED TO A CLP COMMAND RUN VIA NOHUP IF THE PARENT SHELL HAS
EXITED.

Problem description:
During an invocation of a command or series of commands via the 
CLP (Command line process) running in the background under a 
nohup.  If the parent shell exits, at the end of the invocation 
when it returns to the calling shell it can return a DB21018E 
and exit.  This only happens of the parent shell that issued the 
command via nohup subsequently exits.

If possible avoid exiting from the parent shell while using 
nohup
