Here is an example problem reproducible scenario. 1. Reboot machine, Windows 2008 R2 -> Logon as Administrator who installed DB2 2. [Start] -> [Program] -> Open admin console 3. db2 quiesce instance DB2 immediate 4. db2pd - ==> It says "Quiesced" 5. db2 terminate 6. net stop "DB2 - DB2COPY1 - DB2-0" 7. net start "DB2 - DB2COPY1 - DB2-0" 8. db2pd - ==> It says "Active" 9. db2 quiesce instance DB2 immediate ==> SQL1371W : instance is in quiesce 10. db2 unquiesce instance DB2 ==> SQL1373W : instance is not in quiesce - Step #9 and #10 should be completed without SQL1371W/SQL1373W. - It we do not run "db2stop" nor "db2start", problem always happends. - If we use "db2stop" instead of "net stop" at #6, #9 and #10 works fine. - If we use "db2start" instead of "net start" at #7, #9 and #10 works fine. - It we use "net stop" and "net start" pair instead of "db2stop" and "db2start" pair, problem happens. | |
