DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT21715 Status: Closed

CLOB DATA MIGHT BE GARBLED IF SOURCE EBCDIC DBCS STRING EXCEEDS 32K.

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B10 - DB2
Problem description:
CLOB data might be garbled if source EBCDIC string exceeds 32K.
This problem can happen if all the following conditions are met:

- Source EDCDIC string contains DBCS data.
- Source EDCDIC string exceeds 32K bytes.

DB2 LUW converts a source string to target one in every 32K
bytes buffer. However, the conversion mechanism might fails to
retain DBCS/SBCS state to convert the next buffer.
