DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B10 - DB2

DB2 does page verification of pages read from disk before
putting them into bufferpools, and during this page
verification, if the page verified is bad for some reason, then
DB2 writes "page is bad" errors into db2diag.log.

When page verification fails on a page read from SMS tablespace,
then DB2 may write also a misleading 'out of disk space" error
into db2diag.log when, in fact, there is plenty of space on the
disks where SMS tablespace resides.

db2diag.log entries may look like these:

This defect will remove the misleading error message.
