DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT23419 | Status: Closed |
Extra spaces generated from export when using codeunits32
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
An export from a table using codeunits32 will produce extra spaces in the output file. For example: $ db2 "CREATE TABLE MYTABLE(C1 CHAR (10 CODEUNITS32), C2 VARCHAR(20)) $ db2 "INSERT INTO MYTABLE VALUES('HALLO', 'MYNAME')" $ db2 "EXPORT TO exp.del of DEL MODIFIED BY COLDEL0x7c NOCHARDEL select * from MYTABLE" $ less exp.del HALLO |MYNAME << 35 spaces In the case above, the output should only have 5 spaces since the total length of the string should always be equal to what was defined on the table.
