DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT24641 Status: Closed

IN A AIX SPECIFIC PURESCALE ENV, DB2START MAY HIT SQL1659N DUE TO STATIC
ROUTES NOT BEING CONFIGURED PROPERLY.

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description:
In a Purescale environment with an unequal number of netnames
between member and cf hosts in the cluster, db2start may return
the following error due to static routes not being created
across all subnets.

db2start
10/04/2018 17:10:05 0 0 SQL1659N The database manager
started with fewer Host Channel Adapters (HCAs) than configured
for the cluster caching facilities (CFs) or members.

This is a result of static routes only being created for the
network adapter subnets configured on the local host.

The above will occur in case:
- AIX 7.1+ env
- Member/CF?s have a different number of adapters
- RoCE network with IP support
