DB2 PURESCALE USING CF_TRANSPORT_METHOD TCP MIGHT TRIGGER A FODC PANIC WITH "SAL: PAGE NAME MISMATCH IN RETRIEVED PAGE!"

| Problem description: |
A Db2 PureScale instance using
CF_TRANSPORT_METHOD TCP might trigger FODC Panic after fetching
an incorrect page from the global bufferpool (GBP). The
following message will be logged to db2diag.log on the member:
FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, Shared Data Structure Abstraction Layer for
CF, SAL_GBP_HANDLE::SAL_ReadAndRegisterMultiple, probe:4332
MESSAGE : SAL: page name mismatch in retrieved page!
Problem is caused by an incorrect processing of cross
invalidation (XI) message between CF and the member and does not
indicate an actual problem with the page on disk. |
