SQL0401N OR SQL0901N ERROR RETURNED WHEN QUERY CONTAINS TIMESTAMP FUNCTIONS IN WHEN CLAUSE

| Problem description: |
Under rare conditions, DB2 may return an SQL0401N or SQL0901N
error when a query contains a TIMESTAMP function in the branches
of a WHEN clause.
Example query snippet:
(CASE WHEN TEST.BEG_DT > date('12/31/2015') THEN TIMESTAMP
(TEST.BEG_DT, '00.00.00') ELSE TIMESTAMP('12/31/2015') END)
AND (CASE WHEN TEST.END_DT < date('04/01/2015') THEN TIMESTAMP
(TEST.END_DT, '23.59.59') |
