DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT31697 | Status: Closed |
LOB PAGES MAY NOT BE REUSED PROPERLY IN PURESCALE.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
In pureScale environment, page reuse for LOBs is governed by internal readLSN. A deleted page can only be reused when the following are true: (a) delete is committed; (b) all readers that accessed the the page prior to deletion have been committed. If table function ADMIN_GET_TAB_INFO or ADMINTABINFO administrative view were called on a member that hasn't acceseed the , this would cause this member to hold back the internal readLSN value for this . This will cause db2 to not reuse the deleted pages of properly even though the page is no longer in use.

Simply issue "SELECT * FROM LIMIT 1" on every member. This will help refresh the global internal readLSN. Use above as temporary workarounds and contact IBM DB2 Support.
