DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT36221 Status: Closed

INSTANCE CRASH USING WEB SERVICES WRAPPER

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B10 - DB2
Problem description:
When a query is executed against a web service wrapper the
instance will crash.

Example stack:

Stack #1             Signal #4        Timestamp
1609419750.996374000
0        XML_ODH_Query_Execution::XML_ODH_Query_Execution
1        Fenced_ODH_Factory::make_query_execution
2        Component_Remote_Query::Component_Remote_Query
3        Fenced_WS_Factory::make_remote_query
4        Component_Remote_Connection::create_remote_query
5        sqlqg_FMP_Open
6        sqlqgRouter

10       sqlriSectInvoke
11       sqlrr_process_fetch_request
12       sqlrr_open
13       sqljs_ddm_opnqry
14       sqljsParseRdbAccessed

17       sqljsDriveRequests
18       IPRA.
19       sqljsDrdaAsDriver
20       sqeAgent::RunEDU
21       sqzEDUObj::EDUDriver
22       sqloEDUEntry

The real crash point is not inside the method
XML_ODH_Query_Execution, instead it is inside method
XML_ODH_Xalan_Interface. This relates to memory management.
While allocating memory through the new operator, the default
compiler allocates memory at high address and while referencing
this memory, the instance crashes.
