DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT40474 | Status: Closed |
DB2 ZLIB BACKUP AND LOG FILE COMPRESSION DOES NOT USE HARDWARE ACCELERATION ON UBUNTU
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
On Ubuntu, the system-provided libz.so.1 is located in a platform-specific path, which Db2 does not use when searching for libz.so.1. Db2 will automatically fall back to the libz support that is built into the engine, which does not have hardware acceleration support. Currently, this only impacts zLinux, which is the only platform with a hardware-accelerated version of libz.so.1 available.
