DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT41121 | Status: Closed |
GENERATING A REDIRECTED RESTORE SCRIPT MAY CRASH INSTANCE IF STORAGE GROUP FILES BECOME CORRUPTED
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
When a new storage group is created, Db2 automatically assigns it as the default storage group if it is the first one created. If one or more storage groups exist, one of them will always be assigned as the default. If the storage group files become corrupted, it's possible to have one or more storage groups defined, but no default assigned. In this situation, attempting to generate a redirected restore script may crash the instance. Running db2dart may show the following error: Error: Default storage group (ID: -1) doesn't exist
