Problem IT12541 | Status: Closed |
WITH THE FIX OF IT10301 THE ENGINE CAN FALSELY REPORT ERROR -692WHILE DELETING FROM A TEMP TABLE WITH UNIQUE OR PK CONSTRAINT

Problem description: | |
If you run IBM Informix Server version which contains the fix for APAR IT10301 and you use temporary tables with a unique or a primary key constraint defined, the engine may report the error -692 ( Key value for constraint (on table ) is still being referenced.) when you do a delete from such a temp table. The fix of IT10301 changed the way the constrid for constraints in temp tables are assigned - instead of using the next serial value from the sysconstraints system catalog a session's internal counter is now used. For each session this counter starts from 0. The problem occurs when the constrid generated by this counter matches a constrid of some PK constraint defined in the sysconstraints system catalog.
