INSERT OF UTF8 CHARACTERS RETURN ERROR -271 IF THE COLUMN IS NVARCHAR WITH A FUNCTIONAL INDEX ON IT

The following insert statement should return a -271 error:
insert into t1 values('ERM??'); --- the last 2 characters UTF8
codes are 0130, 015E
If the functional index is dropped then the insert works. |
