DATABASEMETADATA.GETCOLUMNS() DOES NOT SHOW QUALIFIERS FOR TYPE_NAME FOR INTERVAL AND DATETIME DATA TYPES

| Problem description: |
You are running a Java program that uses the Informix JDBC
driver. In the data returned by the call to
DatabaseMetaData.getColumns()
the information in the column TYPE_NAME does not show the type
qualifier for some datatypes such as DATETIME and INTERVAL. For
example it returns
INTERVAL
instead of
INTERVAL YEAR TO SECOND
The data length for such data types ( COLUMN_SIZE ) is also
incorrect. |
