HDR SETUP USING ONTAPE ...-T STDIO -F MAY HANG HDR LATER
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / B70 - IDS 11.70
Problem description: | |
A HDR setup using "ontape ...-t STDIO -F" could result in logical logs on the Primary flagged as F (free) and on the secondary flagged as U (used) but not backed up. These logs will never be backed up (breaking the logical log chain for the restore) and later the HDR will hang because the logs can't be reused on the secondary Primary onstat -l: address number flags uniqid begin size used %used 44c8cc90 1 F------ 0 1:25263 5000 0 0.00 44c8ccf8 2 F------ 0 1:30263 5000 0 0.00 44c8cd60 3 U---C-L 10 1:35263 5000 45 0.90 44c8cdc8 4 F------ 0 1:40263 5000 0 0.00 44c8ce30 5 F------ 0 1:45263 5000 0 0.00 44c8ce98 6 F------ 0 1:50263 5000 0 0.00 44c8cf00 7 F------ 0 1:55263 5000 0 0.00 Secondary onstat -l: address number flags uniqid begin size used %used 44c8cc90 1 U------ 8 1:25263 5000 9 0.18 44c8ccf8 2 U------ 9 1:30263 5000 5 0.10 44c8cd60 3 U---C-L 10 1:35263 5000 45 0.90 44c8cdc8 4 U-B---- 4 1:40263 5000 81 1.62 44c8ce30 5 U-B---- 5 1:45263 5000 9 0.18 44c8ce98 6 U-B---- 6 1:50263 5000 5 0.10 44c8cf00 7 U-B---- 7 1:55263 5000 13 0.26
