Problem description: | |
When an SDS server is starting it will connect to the primary and request a blocking checkpoint in order to ensure all modified pages have been flushed to disk prior to the SDS server accessing them. If there is a problem with network communications during this activity, or the SDS server goes down for some reason, then the primary server may hang in a later checkpoint request. Additionally if the SDS server is restarted then it will fail to connect to the primary. A shutdown and restart of the primary is required to resolve the problem. | |
