CAN'T CREATE OS FILE IN DIRECTORY ALLOWING WRITE ACCESS ONLY BY GROUP MEMBERSHIP

| Problem description: |
Consider a file system directory owned by user A, yet meant to
be used by a group of people, so having 770 permissions.
Now user B, member of that group, tries to use this directory
for creating some file, e.g. an explain file or a reject file.
SET EXPLAIN FILE TO "/that/dir/user_B_explain.out";
534: Cannot open EXPLAIN output file.
For an external table reject file you'd see:
26154: Could not open file: (file,
errno)=(/that/dir/rej.log,13).
and this in message log:
Failed to open /that/dir/rej.log, EACCES |
