Problem IT27499 | Status: Closed |
NEW SSL CONNECTIONS REQUESTS CAN HANG FOR LISTEN_TIMEOUT IF A NON-INFORMIX SECURE SOCKET CLIENT TRIES TO CONNECT TO SOCSSLLST LI
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description: | |
If a socssllst listen thread is listening on port 65382 on an IDS server running on the host server.ibm.com for example and the following ssh command was executed: $ ssh rocklaubster.prod.hclpnp.com -p 65382 If the ssh connection is not interrupted anyone attempting to make an ssl connect to the IDS server would hang until the ssh connection timed out after LISTEN_TIMEOUT seconds. Clearly a timeout value in the minutes range or even ten seconds could be a problem for connection throughput.
