PERFORMANCE PROBLEM WITH CLIPGETCOUNT ON TIMESERIES COLUMN DEFINED TO USING ROLLING WINDOW CONTAINERS
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description: | |
Clipgetcount() seems to be much more expensive in execution terms when used on a timeseries using rolling window storage compared to a timeseries stored in a single container. Clipgetcount() seems to have to read every container in the active window list even though it takes arguments defining the range needing to be examined, which appears to be much more expensive then looking at a single container containing a much larger data set for just the 1 timeseries.
