USING TEMP TABLES AND STORED PROCEDURES BY PREPARED STATEMENTS OR 4GL PCODE MAY LEAD TO SQL LAYER GETTING OUT OF SYN

| Problem description: |
Symptoms included sporadic assertion failures and/or crashes,
most displaying message:
Bad allocation size (0) for pool 'rsam' ...
and accompanying 4GL application errors, either 710 (table was
dropped, modified,...) or
101 (file not open). All (most) errors seemed to be happening
during execution of the
stored procedures.
The issue was reported for Informix 11.50, but was confirmed to
exist in later 11.70 and 12.10
codelines as well. |
