INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10

Informix servers configured to use CSM for network connections
may leak memory if poor network activity results in connections
being dropped during the initial connection phase. The memory
leak may be observed as a continual growth in the size of the
global memory pool as shown by the command onstat -g mem. The
following command may also be used to show an excess of specific
memory fragment types which continue to accumulate:

onstat -g afr global | awk '{print $3,$5}' | sort -k 2 | uniq -c
| sort -rnk 1 | head

Example output:

   3334 net osmutex.c:595
   2082 csm-vp cssdspch.c:408
   1637 csm-vp cssstubs.c:927
    360 osenv osenv.c:1151
    355 config mtconfig.c:5441
    355 config mtconfig.c:5439
...

The first 3 fragment types listed will continue to accumulate.

The online message log may also show numerous messages with
error number -25582, -14563 and/or -14565.
