PROMOTING AN SDS TO A PRIMARY SERVER REPORTS A PANIC ON THE PRIMARY INSTEAD OF A PROPER SHUTDOWN

| Problem description: |
Defect idsdb00499002(APAR IT00291) in 12.10.FC2 has been
observed in 11.70.FC8 so the fix needs to be ported back to
11.70.FC9.
You can promote an SDS server to a primary server by using
'onmode -d set SDS primary '
This will shutdown the current primary, which can be restarted
being the new SDS afterwards.
During the shutdown of the primary you might observe the
following messages in the primary's online log:
13:49:31  DR:Shutting down the server.
13:49:31  The Master Daemon Died
13:49:31  PANIC: Attempting to bring system down
...where the last two lines are unexpected. |
