Informix - Problem description
Problem IT34010 | Status: Closed |
ONINIT SHOULD CHECK AND ADJUST ROOTSIZE WHEN COMING UP
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description: | |
ROOTSIZE onconfig parameter can be out of step with actual size of root chunk as recorded in reserved pages. This can be the result of an expansion of the root chunk, and it usually wouldn't cause any problem and can work this way for a long time. Where it can cause serious trouble, though, is if a reserved pages extension happens to reside beyond that onconfig ROOTSIZE, as this seems to be the limit the server is adhering to during startup, so the reserved pages extension cannot be read.
