SYSCOLUMNS - COLMIN,COLMAX ARE NOT GETTING POPULATED FOR COMPOSITE INDEX TRAILING COLUMN

| Problem description: |
1) When there is a composite index on the column, min and max
columns in syscolumns table is not being populated.
2) It seems to populate only the leading column when it is an
numeric value.
3) If the field is not the leading column, it is not populated
at all despite being part of an index and running update
statistics.
4) Weâ ™ve tried running update statistics medium too.
5) As per documentation, it should populate the columns part of
an index

6) However, it only populates the leading column. |
