Admin-Scout Release 3.3 is available!

As announced in our last newsletter, we released the new Admin-Scout Release 3.3 at the end of November.

The new release offers a special feature: it opens the door to Informix Enterprise Replication.

Informix Enterprise Replication is an asynchronous replication method and supports differentiated replication models. These includes Primary-Target as well as Update-Anywhere models with common network topologies such as Fully-Connected, Hierarchical-Tree or Forest-of-Trees. In short, Informix enables replication based on an organization's specific requirements and does not present any model or methodology limitations here.

This freedom in modeling is accompanied by a corresponding complexity in administration. This is where our development team came in and made the administrative basics of an ER environment accessible via our Admin Scout.

The Enterprise Replication Module in Admin-Scout 3.3 offers, for example:

  • Administration of the ER with the operations:
    - start, stop, suspend, resume, check, check+repair, sync.
  • Adjustment of the main ER parameters.
  • Live monitoring of transactions.
  • Comprehensive ER statistics.
  • Error tracking, showing error log, ATS and RIS files.
  • Set up replicate-sets and replicates with the functions:
    - create, view, modify, delete.
