Problem description: | |
When we set package cache size to a value larger than 524288 pages, the package cache will be cleaned too aggressively, with almost no entries retained. When checking the output from db2pd -dynamic, we will see results similar to the following. We will see a large "Total Heap Size", but small "Current Memory Used" and only a small "Number of Statements" in the cache. db2pd -dynamic: Current Memory Used 947264 Total Heap Size 2383872000 Cache Overflow Flag 0 Number of References 149 Number of Statement Inserts 149 Number of Statement Deletes 121 Number of Variation Inserts 149 Number of Statements 28 This APAR should resolve the above observed issue. | |
