DB2 FAILED TO CONVERT A DECIMAL (31,15) TO DOUBLE WHILE IMPORTING

Problem description:
DB2 fails to convert a decimal (31,15) to double while importing 
from a data file, although it can do this without any issue 
when you select/insert from another table.
