DB2 - Problem description

RAH SCRIPT USES TAIL +N WHICH CAUSES IT FAIL ON REDHAT LINUX AS TAIL + N IS
NOT SUPPORTED.

Using db2iupdt in DPF environment to update an instance, part 
of the error messages returned is 
 tail: cannot open `+1' for reading: No such file or directory 
rah script rah +n in it which is not valid.
