POSSIBILITY OF A DEADLOCK WHEN SEARCHING INDEX CACHE

Problem description:
A small possibility for deadlock has been identified in the code 
that searches the index cache. While it is possible to encounter 
this deadlock in theory; the chance of it happening is fairly 
small in practice.
Problem Summary:
The problem has been identified in the code which ensures that 
structures are protected in the shared memory.

The problem has been corrected such that a safer method will be 
used to release protective latches.
