CONFIGURATION OF DB2 SATELLITE CONTROL DATABASE FAILS DURING DB2 ESE INSTALLATION ON WINDOWS. |

| Problem description: |
During DB2 ESE installation in custom mode where DB2 Satellite
is
enabled, the configuration of DB2 Satellite control database
fails with the following error reported in the install log:
ERROR:
Action 22:28:57: DB2CustomAction. Configuring the satellite
control database
1: Configuring the satellite control database:.......Failure
This problem is applicable to both 32bit and 64bit Windows
systems. |

| Local Fix: |
Manually run the configuration tools for the Satellite control
database. Eg, from a DB2 Command Windows, run
db2 -tvf <sqllib>\misc\satctldb.ddl
where <sqllib> is the installation path of the DB2 copy. |
