DB2 - Problem description
| Problem IC68304 | Status: Closed |
SETUP.EXE USING THE TRACE OPTION MIGHT HAVE WRONG BEHAVIOR WHEN THE INSTALLATION PATH CONTAINS TWO OR MORE SPACES IN ITS NAME
| product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 910 - DB2
| Problem description: | |
If you specify an absolute trace file name with the trace option
(/t) and there are two or more consecutive spaces in your
installation image path name, a new directory with only one
space will be created to store the trace file.
Example with the installation image path name "c:\ibm\97fp 1":
c:\ibm\97fp 1\SERVER> setup /t trace.trc /l trace.log
The "trace.trc" file will be in "c:\ibm\97fp 1\SERVER" with one
space instead of two:
dir c:\ibm\97fp 1\SERVER>
29/04/2010 10:19 <DIR> ..
29/04/2010 10:19 <DIR> .
29/04/2010 10:20 336 943 trace.trc
1 File(s) 336 943 bytes
and "trace.log" will be in "c:\ibm\97fp 1\SERVER" with two
spaces between "fp" and "1\SERVER":
dir c:\ibm\97fp 1\SERVER>
