DB2_DEINSTALL LOG FILE SHOWS A GLOBAL REGISTRY ERROR FOR A NON-ROOT UNINSTALL |

| Problem description: |
If the root global registry file(/var/db2/global.reg) does not
exist, db2_deinstall for a non-root install will show an error
message in the log file. This error can safely be ignored.
e.g. Contents of log file
ERROR: Updating DB2 global registry with the current
installation failed. Rerun
the command again to try to update global registry. If the
problem still exist,
contact IBM Service.
Updating global registry :.......Failure
After applying the fix, the errors will not be seen in the
uninstall log file. |
