IMPROVE VIEW MQT MATCHING FOR INSERT STATEMENT WHOSE TARGET TABLE IS DGTT
| product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
| Problem description: | |
When a query references a view and the view has a view MQT (in definition of "select * from <view_name>"), the view may be replaced with view MQT. For an INSERT statement, to get the view MQT matching, the INSERT source subquery was required be a "SELECT from <view_name>". This APAR removes that restriction of source subquery format for the INSERT statement whose target table is DGTT (Declared Global Temporary Table).
