DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC84492 Status: Closed

"DB2CLUSTER -CM -ENTER -MAINTENANCE -ALL" MAY GET ERROR IF ISSUE
D BEFORE CLUSTER STATE BECOMES ONLINE BY PREVIOUS EXIT COMMAND

Problem description:
"db2cluster -cm -enter -maintenance -all" may get error if 
issued before the cluster state becomes online by the previous 
exit command in the following scenario. 
 
1. db2cluster -cm -exit -maintenance 
   Completed successfully, but the cluster state is not yet 
"online". 
 
2. db2cluster -cm -enter -maintenance -all 
   The domain has been unable to enter maintenance mode 
   A diagnostic log has been saved to 
"/tmp/ibmdb2.cluster-*****" 
 
If the domain is shown to have been correctly stopped in the 
errpt logs, then the message can be safely ignored.

Local Fix:
Ensure that the cluster is in the correct maintenance state 
after issuing "db2cluster -cm -exit -maintenance -all" by 
verifying the output of "db2cluster -cm -verify -maintenance".
