DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC85739 Status: Closed

THE SUBSECTION STATUS FIELD IN THE APPLICATION SNAPSHOT MONITOR OUTPUT MAY
BE INCORRECT.

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
In DPF, if the statement monitor switch is turned on, then the
application snapshot contains subsection outputs for an
executing query.

The subsection status field may give possible values of:
Executing
Waiting to send on tablequeue
Waiting to receive on tablequeue

In a certain timing scenario, there is a logic problem in the
monitoring that may incorrectly report a status of Executing,
when in reality the subsection is waiting to send or receive on
a tablequeue.

This issue results in displaying misleading monitor output.
There is no functional impact of this APAR on the query
execution itself.
