DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC87795 Status: Closed

SNAPSHOT ROUTINES ONLY CLEAN UP THE LAST DATA FILE FROM SQLLIB/TMP WHEN
PROCESSING MULTIPLE MEMBERS

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
DB2 snapshot routines spill data into temporary randomly-named
files in the sqllib/tmp directory. The files are owned by the
fenced user ID. In a pureScale environment, only the last
temporary file created is removed when the snapshot completes.
The files can build up over time, filling up the underlying
filesystem.

Example:
ls -lrt /home/db2inst1/sqllib/tmp
-rw-r--r-- 1 nobody build 3513545 Oct 31 10:11
