DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC89816 Status: Closed

SYSPROC.ADMIN_REVALIDATE_DB_OBJECTS PERFORMS POORLY FOR TABLE OBJECTS ON
LARGE DATABASES

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problem description:
When the SYSPROC.ADMIN_REVALIDATE_DB_OBJECTS stored procedure is
processing TABLE database objects (when the object_type
parameter is 'TABLE' or NULL), it can perform poorly when the
database has alot of tables.

The stored procedure SYSPROC.EVMON_UPGRADE_TABLES calls
SYSPROC.ADMIN_REVALIDATE_DB_OBJECTS to revalidate any event
monitor target table that has been altered. Therefore when a
database has lot of tables SYSPROC.EVMON_UPGRADE_TABLES can
perform poorly as well.
