DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC92015 Status: Closed

A SECOND DATABASE RECOVERY THAT NEEDS TO REPLAY SOME LOG RECORDS REPLAYED
DURING A PREVIOUS DATABASE RECOVERY MAY FAIL.

Problem description:
If a database recovery fails with this probe point: 
 
FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, data protection services, 
sqlpAttemptToUpdateLowtranDuringDbRecovery, probe:820 
    MESSAGE : ZRC=0x8710001D=-2028994531=SQLP_LERR "Fatal Logic 
Error" 
              DIA8526C A fatal error occurred in data protection 
services. 
    DATA #1 : <preformatted> 
        Invalid new suggested lowtranlsn 00000000009D3E91 on log 
stream 1. 
        deferredLowTranLsnDbRedo = 00000000009D3B7D 
        nextLsn = 00000000009D3E90 
 
 
Then a second database recovery may fail if it needs to replay 
some 
log records replayed during the previous database recovery. This 
error can only occur when using SD mode.
