DB2 - Problem description

32-BIT RUN-TIME CLIENT INSTALL ON WINDOWS 64-BIT FAILS WHEN RESPONSE FILE
KEYWORD FILE=C:PROGRAM FILESIBMSQLLIB IS USED

Problem description:
Silent installation of 32-bit Run-time Client on Windows 64-bit 
fails 
when response file keyword FILE=C:\PROGRAM FILES\IBM\SQLLIB is 
used. 
 
Install Log shows: 
 
MSI (s) (10!38) [18:01:41:550]: WIN64DUALFOLDERS: 'C:\Program 
Files (x86)\' will substitute 17 characters in 'C:\Program 
Files\IBM\SQLLIB\' folder path. (mask argument = 0, the folder 
pair's iSwapAttrib member = 0). 
MSI (s) (10!38) [18:01:41:550]: In SetTargetPath, re-mapping 
'C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\' to 'C:\Program Files 
(x86)\IBM\SQLLIB\' because this is a 32-bit package being 
installed on Win64. 
: 
MSI (s) (10:7C) [18:01:54:137]: Product: IBM Data Server Runtime 
Client - DB2COPY1 -- Installation operation failed.

Local Fix:
Use response file keyword FILE=C:\PROGRAM FILES (x86)
