DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT03281 Status: Closed

CALLING SQLGETCONNECTATTR FOR SQL_ATTR_GET_LATEST_MEMBER_NAME FAILS IF
SQL_ATTR_OVERRIDE_PRIMARY_AFFINITY IS SET

product:
DB2 COMMON CLIE / DBCMNCLNT / A50 - DB2
Problem description:
In a CLI (Call Level Interface) application, a call of
SQLGetConnectAttr to get the SQL_ATTR_GET_LATEST_MEMBER_NAME
connection attribute returns SQL_ERROR and and a subsequent call
of SQLGetDiagField returns SQL_NO_DATA_FOUND, if the following
conditions are both true:

- the IBM data server driver configuration file
(db2dsdriver.cfg) contains short host names instead of long host
names, and:
- the application has set the SQL_ATTR_OVERRIDE_PRIMARY_AFFINITY
connection attribute (to specify a new temporary primary member
for the client affinities feature).
