Db2look is not inserting the comments for table and columns into
systools.db2look_info table for SYSPROC.ALTOBJ() to refer.
For example, if you call system procedure SYSPROC.ALTOBJ to
alter table TABLEA:
CALL SYSPROC.ALTOBJ('APPLY_CONTINUE_ON_ERROR', 'CREATE TABLE
DB2INST1.TABLEA(COL1 DECIMAL(5, 0), COL2 VARCHAR (20))', -1, ?
);
, then after it recreated the table TABLEA, you will lose all
the COMMENTs for table TABLEA, as well as its columns' COMMENTs. |
