REDISTRIBUTE MEMORY LEAK WHEN PROCESSING COMPRESSED TABLES AND COMPRESSED RANGE PARTITIONED TABLES.
Produkt: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problembeschreibung:
When processing compressed tables redistribute can leak memory when creating a dictionary on the newly added partitions. This problem is more noticeable when processing range partitioned tables since they can potentially create a dictionary for every range. About 2MB are leaked per dictionary created.

Local-Fix: | |
If there are a lot of compressed tables or compressed ranged partitioned tables and hitting this APAR is possible, one can perform a redistribute with a partial table list. After the tables are processed to free up the leaked memory terminate all connections to the database and reconnect, and continue redistributing rest of the tables.
