ENHANCE DB2CAT CATALOG VALIDATION TO CHECK FOR STATISTIC PROFILE INCONSISTENCIES |

There is a potential inconsistency in the catalog tables which
can cause database migration to DB2 v10.1 to fail.
This inconsistency is a mismatch in SYSIBM.SYSTABLES between the
STATS_PROFILE column and the information stored in the Packed
Descriptor, if a table has a runstats statistic profiles
stored.
So far this has only been reported for statistal views (a.k.a
STATVIEWs). We need to provide a check utility (like db2cat -v)
for this inconsistency that can be done pre-migration to avoid
migration to a later DB2 version to fail. |
