DB2 - Problembeschreibung

Problem IT02214 Status: Geschlossen

INCORRECT RESULTS WHEN SELECTING "DISTINCT
LENGTH(<VARCHAR_COLUMN>)" FROM A COLUMN-ORGANIZED TABLE

Produkt:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problembeschreibung:
Incorrect results might be seen when selecting "DISTINCT
LENGTH(<VARCHAR_COLUMN>)" from a column-organized table if a
join predicate is used on the same VARCHAR column. The data in
the VARCHAR column was incorrectly normalized (losing the
trailing blank) before the DISTINCT clause was applied. As a
result, an incorrect number of rows might be returned.
