In effect of using the db2audit extract command, you get 
AUD0022N  The Audit Log File is corrupted. 
 
[db2inst1@localhost logs]$ db2audit extract delasc delimiter ! 
from files ./db2audit.instance.log.0.<timestamp> 
 
AUD0022N  The Audit Log File is corrupted. 
AUD0001N  Operation failed. 
 
It might be reported in the diaglog under LEVEL: Error 
 
HOSTNAME: localhost.localdomain 
FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, bsu security, sqlex_db2audit_main, probe:350 
 
Reason: 
 
The reason for the problem is the lack of thread level locking 
for the db2acd process. 
Audit log corruption may occur when multiple DB2 threads write 
to the audit log file. 
When multiple threads do this simultaneously, the file locking 
mechanism doesn't provide thread level access control and this 
may lead to corruption audit log records. The corruption might 
take place when a multithreaded process db2acd writes audit log 
record to the audit log file.
